At Reddit user Rusky suggested to look on alternative of LLVM. It called libFirm: http://pp.ipd.kit.edu/firm/ . There is certainly room for improvements in the center's distribution but it tries to maintain a high degree of stability and compatibility and thus it must be more conservative than other distributions may afford to be.
