Oberon microsystems, Inc., Switzerland, has the copyright to the Oberon/F
software and its accompanying documentation. You may not modify, rent, lease,
loan, network, distribute, translate, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble,
or create derivative works based upon the Oberon microsystems software in whole
or in part. The only exceptions to this are described as follows:

Permission is granted to copy and distribute without fee the complete
*educational* version of Oberon/F, including its documentation, provided that
the copies are not  made for commercial advantage of any kind. No fees
whatsoever (for disks, tapes, postage, link time, etc.) may be attached to the
distribution without the written consent of Oberon microsystems. Copies may not
be distributed as part of a commercial organization's public relations
activities. The copies must be identical to the original from Oberon
microsystems, nothing may be modified, left out, or added. This includes all
examples and the documentation as well: it must be copied verbatim, without
repagination or reformatting. It is the responsibility of the distributor to
guarantee that copies are identical to the original.

The second and last exception regarding distribution concerns run-time versions
of Oberon/F, and holds both for the standard as well as for the educational
version: Applications based on any parts of Oberon/F, except for the development
subsystem, may be distributed along with the necessary parts of Oberon/F. No
parts of the development subsystem (compiler, linker, etc) may be redistributed.
It doesn't matter whether the application is linked or not.

"as is", and without warranty of any kind. Oberon microsystems and its licensor(s)
expressely disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited
to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Oberon microsystems does not make any representation regarding the correctness or
reliability of the software or the documentation.

Limitation of Liability

Oberon/F was developed using modern software engineering techniques and has been
tested on various hardware and software configurations; but users should be aware
that it is unlikely that all errors could be detected during development and
testing. Under no circumstances shall Oberon microsystems be held liable for any
damages that result from the use or inability to use Oberon/F, even if Oberon
microsystems has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall
Oberon microsystems' total liability to you for all damages or losses exceed the
amount paid for the software.

Installation

Oberon/F for Windows requires an 80386 CPU or higher, Windows 3.1,
Windows for Workgroups, Windows NT 3.5, or Windows 95.

Run Setup.exe on disk 1 to install Oberon/F on your computer.

On Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups, the setup program installs the OLE
version of Win32s release 3.0 (if not already installed). The corresponding
files are contained in disks 3 and 4. For an installations on Windows 95 or
Windos NT only disks 1 and 2 are needed.

Documentation

All documentation is available on-line. It is distributed to the various subsystems'
"Docu" folders; documentation not specific to a particular module is located in
folder "Manuals". The documentation can be accessed easily via the "Help" menu
or F1. For a particular module, "Documentation" in menu "Info" opens the
corresponding documentation file.
